ABOUT THE ARTIST
A child of parents who left war-torn Holland, I seek to capture stories of loss and hope, courage and strength, finding the narrative in gathered textiles from divergent cultures juxtaposed with copper, acrylic on canvas, wire and found objects, mounted in a museum-quality shadow-box frame.
ABOUT THE ART
Copper, textiles gathered from different cultural settings, and painted acrylic on canvas are cut, sculpted and juxtaposed with stones, mica, piano hammers, reclaimed copper wire and other found objects, creating a 3-dimensional assemblage, mounted in a museum-quality shadow box frame.
