ABOUT THE ARTIST
I have an MFA in sculpture and studied Art History at Cornell University. My inspiration comes from the classical figurative sculpture of Michelangelo and Rodin. I am fascinated with the bronze casting process and that pieces will endure through time. To pour bronze is to make a mark on eternity.
ABOUT THE ART
My work consists of classical figurative bronzes mounted on marble or stone. I personally create the pieces and execute the bronzes through the lost wax casting process. I model the originals in clay and invest the waxes for shell casting in the foundry at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
