ABOUT THE ARTIST
Left college while studying architecture to open a glass studio and architecture is still a main inspiration for me. 28 years ago I began to cast my flat glass designs in concrete and eventually concrete became my primary medium. The alchemy of powder to liquid to stone still fascinates me.
ABOUT THE ART
Lightweight cast concrete wall sculpture with various textures, treatments and pigments including glass, found objects, encaustic, handmade paper, concrete stains and plant material. The work is cast in a handmade form. Texture and/or bas-relief are created in the form before the concrete is cast.
