ABOUT THE ARTIST
I paint fish from every possible angle, with crisp clarity, blurred abstraction and every rich layer in between, telling my stories of determination, struggle, hopefulness and possibility. When life gets challenging my fish are a reminder to just keep swimming.
ABOUT THE ART
I paint with oil and cold wax on wood panels using a pallet knife, squeegee and brushes. I create texture and layers by adding and subtracting color, scraping into the paint surface and then partially obscuring the marks with more paint. When dry I add clear wax and buff to a satin sheen finish.
