Part-time Bookkeeper Position

The Rittenhouse Square Fine Arts Association (RSFAA) seeks a part-time finance professional who shares our commitment to supporting artists and organizations doing meaningful work that aligns with our mission. Now entering our 97th year of operation, we promote the arts, while contributing to building stronger and more diverse communities, and cultivating the next generation of fine art professionals. Our Board of Directors, Managing Director, staff, and volunteers create, curate, and host two fine art fairs in Rittenhouse Square Park in Philadelphia, PA, in June and September of each year.

 

The RSFAA Bookkeeper, reporting to the Board Chair, and working directly with the Managing Director and Treasurer, is responsible for overseeing the finances of the Association, creating and maintaining accurate and timely nonprofit financial reports for the Board through managing the general ledger, maintaining an accurate account balance, preparing financial statements and management reports, and managing grants and contracts. The Bookkeeper will execute on the day-to-day financial operations, compile financial statements and reports, implement policies and procedures, and perform the Association’s accounting and tax functions. The Bookkeeper’s knowledge, skills, and participation will be solicited and valued as an important contribution to the success of the association and its mission.

 

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $7,500.00 per year/$625 paid monthly .

 

Experience Level:

At least 5 years of experience in a similar role with a non-profit organization.

 

Schedule:

Flexible; to be determined in partnership with the Board Chair, Managing Director and Treasurer, as appropriate to meet the needs of the organization.

 

Work Location:

Remote with limited amounts of in-person work in Philadelphia, PA required. Communication by email, telephone, and monthly Zoom meetings; reliable wi-fi connection necessary.

Expected hours: 3 – 5 per week
